The working behind our AMCA control valves is simple yet very effective in ensuring fluid flows only in one direction. The valve consists of the housing, a spring, a poppet and input and output ports.

When there is no fluid flowing in the circuit, the spring keeps the poppet in the closed position. Immediately fluid begins to flow, the spring will compress allowing the poppet to open relative to the pressure of the fluid. The higher the pressure, the wider the poppet opens and vice versa.

If somehow an error occurs in the circuit setup and fluid attempts to flow in the opposite direction, the poppet will be shut ensuring the fluid does not damage expensive components like hydraulic pumps and filters.
